HOW DO NDIS PARTICIPANTS MANAGE THEIR FUNDING TO ACCESS SERVICES?
There are three ways for NDIS participants to manage their funding: through self-management, through NDIA management or through a third party Plan Manager.
If you opt for self-management, the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) will provide you funding that you can use to access your NDIS services. Alternatively, the NDIA can manage your funding and make payments for services on your behalf, or you can access Plan Managers who can help you create your NDIS plan and make payments on your behalf.
If your NDIS funding is NDIA-managed, you can only use NDIS registered providers to deliver your services. However, NDIS participants who self-manage or have a Plan Manager to manage their NDIS plan are also able to use NDIS registered providers and non-registered providers.
As part of our commitment to excellence in disability services, your Nextt team can include a Support Coordinator, who is there to help you create your bespoke NDIS plan and help you select the services you need to reach your NDIS goals. All the services provided by your Support Coordinator are typically covered through NDIS funding.
