STA (Short Term Accommodation) Respite

STA (Short Term Accommodation) Respite

The STA Respite is a service that provides temporary accommodation, short term care and support for up to six weeks. It is intended to give children and their families a break, and is particularly useful when a child is sick. Staying at home is the only option for many children with long term complex conditions, who may need to take up to six weeks of respite. Respite is also an important option when a child with complex chronic conditions (CCCs) needs extra support, or when the child or family are going through a time of transition, such as a move or school change.

The STA Respite Program is designed to give children and their families more choice in the place of respite care. AAA Community Care want to provide more choice of where your child will be in respite care, and more choices about which services are offered.
